Inaugural Farm Fair

The first ever Cowwarr Farm Fair was held in September 2010. This event is the major fundraiser for the Cowwarr Primary School. The day consisted of activities for kids, a 'Cow Pat Lotto', live entertainment, scarecrow competition, farmers challenge and much more.

Farmers Challenge
In the picture below the farmers are 'roping' their cows before proceeding to milk them.

In this photo 'Farmer Matt' is milking the cow. These cows were later auctioned to raise money for the school.

Cow Pat Lotto
A cow was left in a paddock that was divided into 200 squares. Each square was sold as a lotto ticket. After several hours the cow finally did a 'pat' thus determining the winner. This years winner was local farmer Jim Stewart, pictured here with school council president Matt Broad.

Entertainment was provided by local award winning country music singer Harry Hookey

The day was a success and we look forward to another farm fair in 2011.
